Ubuntu Collective is a partnership between a talented group of Zambian-based artists and women's collectives, and a Canadian-based lover of fair trade and social justice.

Our goal is simple:
We want to to celebrate African artists and support the beautiful work they do.
We specialize in one-of-a-kind, handmade African products that celebrate our interconnectedness
and sustain disadvantaged communities through ethical and fair trade practice.

Chikumbuso Women and Orphans Project began in January 2005 with one widow and her seven children. Since, it has grown to include over 70 widows, 50 at-risk young adults, twenty grandmothers and three hundred students. The program is based in Ng'ombe in Lusaka, Zambia. Through education and micro-enterprise, Chikumbuso creates opportunities and provides hope. Chikumbuso's projects include a training program, a school for orphans and micro-enterprise development.
